The Essential Services Program provides immediate, practical support to individuals and families facing financial hardship in Washtenaw County. By addressing barriers to stability (housing, transportation, utilities, and household essentials) we help neighbors stay housed, keep their jobs, and maintain independence while building a stronger foundation for the future.
Assistance is available to residents of Washtenaw County experiencing a temporary financial hardship who have not received service from us in the last 12 months. Our staff will review your situation with you and connect you with the help you need.
