Overview

Donor Appreciation Volunteers help Friends In Deed recognize the individuals, families, businesses, and community groups whose generosity supports its programs. Through thoughtful and timely communication, volunteers help donors understand that their contributions are noticed and deeply appreciated.

This role supports strong, lasting relationships between Friends In Deed and the community members who make its work possible.

Responsibilities

Prepare thank-you letters, address envelopes, assemble mailings, make appreciation calls, organize donor materials, and assist with other recognition projects. Volunteers may also help update records, prepare cards for special occasions, or support seasonal donor communication.

Who Can Get Involved

This opportunity is ideal for thoughtful, dependable, and detail-oriented adults who enjoy helping others feel appreciated. Clear handwriting, strong communication skills, and basic computer experience are helpful. Volunteers should also be comfortable handling donor information confidentially.

Logistics

Volunteers serve at Friends In Deed during office hours, Monday through Thursday from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. A commitment of at least one regular shift per week is preferred, although some appreciation projects may be seasonal or completed as needed.
