The Essentials Service Program provides more than just assistance—it offers peace of mind. It lifts a weight off people’s shoulders, giving them hope and relief in times of crisis.

"

Essentials Service Program focuses on providing housing stability, transportation assistance, utility relief, senior support services, and basic furniture items.

  • Housing Stabilization Support – Helping individuals stay housed and transition successfully when needed.
  • Transportation Assistance – Addressing barriers to work and daily life through car-related aid, bus passes and reliable transportation to working families.
  • Utilities Relief – Filling gaps where other aid falls short, ensuring households maintain essential services.
  • Senior Services – Promoting dignity, independence, and well-being by providing a wide range of supportive services in the categories of housing stability, transportation support, safety and wellness.
  • Furniture Assistance – Providing basic household items.

*We continue to be a ‘gap service’ providing resources to community members who are not eligible for traditional safety net services.  Individuals interested in potential assistance must live in Washtenaw County.  For additional eligibility information please contact us directly at 734-484-4357.
