Before joining Circles, I felt stuck, like I was just surviving instead of truly living. The support and encouragement I received from my Allies and the Circles community changed everything. They helped me build confidence, set goals, and take steps toward a better future. Now, I have a stable job, a savings plan, and a strong support system that continues to uplift me. Circles didn’t just help me financially—it empowered me to believe in myself.
Circles Washtenaw is a transformational program that pairs individuals working to overcome financial hardship (Circle Leaders) with dedicated volunteers (Allies) who provide mentorship, encouragement, and networking opportunities. Through weekly meetings, financial education, goal setting, and community support, participants gain the tools, confidence, and connections needed to achieve lasting economic mobility. Friends In Deed facilitates these relationships, offering a structured yet compassionate environment where individuals and families can break generational cycles of poverty and create brighter futures.
Friends In Deed is mainstreaming its services to better address the evolving challenges of poverty in our community.
Learn MoreCircles is built on the belief that supportive relationships and community connections are key to overcoming poverty. By fostering meaningful relationships across socioeconomic lines, Circles empowers individuals and families to build financial stability and long-term success.
