Note from our Board of Directors

A Note from Our Board of Directors: Friends in Deed is powered by the talents, skills, and expertise of several passionate individuals. They are the secret sauce that has allowed us to deliver great services for more than 40 years. We are fortunate in having a team of people dedicated to the mission of helping people in need and building community to end poverty. But we need adding folks with skills and expertise where we have gaps. Our Board of Directors needs representatives with Legal, and Human Resources expertise. Additionally, we need establishing a Development Committee, and a Facilities Management Committee. If you are willing and available, or know of someone who is, please contact our Vice President, R. Tyrone Kelsey at tyrone.klc@gmail.com, for a coffee or lunch chat.

Giving Tuesday 2024

This Giving Tuesday, help us provide beds and bedding to those in need. Your gift is more than just furniture; it's the foundation of a better tomorrow.

Black Mothers Uplifted Forum

The Black Mothers Uplifted Forum was a powerful gathering of Black moms and their supporters, all coming together to discuss maternal health, share resources, and amplify their voices.

Over The Edge 2024
